A possible treatment for Breast Cancer involves decreasing Lipocalin-2 (LCN2) by blocking LCN2 in blood circulation using a neutralizing monoclonal antibody against LCN2 (injection of the anti-mLCN2 antibody).

"Data suggests that LCN2 may play a role in the initiation of inflammation and leukocyte migration." It seems that the bacteria defense mechanism of LCN2 is overreacting to sebum in fordyce spots so the level needs to be lowered.
