Violien, you are so right. I eat as well as I can, and take quality supplements now, but didn't always. My family was poor, and I never got candy, sweets or snack foods until I was old enough to earn the money to buy them for myself. By that time, white bread was for everybody, and it was cheap. The only whole wheat bread was Roman Meal, and we couldn't afford that. My mom always had a container of Mono-Sodium-Glutamat (Natrium Glutamat) by the stove, called Accent. I wonder if they still sell that? It went into everything. We had homecooked meals, but she wanted them to taste better than the bland food she was raised on, so lots of MSG, salt and pepper. Lots of bad fat, because hamburger and pork were cheap, and my dad only liked chicken one way -- fried in lard. Plus, this was the 50's and 60's, so DDT was the predominant pesticide, and arsenic and other poisons were everywhere. I'm sure I still have some of that crap in me. Add mercury fillings and my mom cooking with aluminum pots, and it's recipe for ME. Luckily, I loved fruit, and found ways to get it, even if it meant stealing it out of someone's yard. Mostly, I would sell bottles for it. My friends and I would haul our wagon full of bottles to the store, they would buy candy and I would buy fruit. Don't know what good it did me, as laced with DDT as it was, but we never got fruit at home, so that's what I bought. Most children raised in the 50s, 60s or 70s are laden with toxins. They started cleaning stuff up in the 80s, but too late. We are all very sick. Thyroid problems, auto-immune diseases, you name it. It will take me a long time to get all this crap out of my body. I've been cleansing and eating right for years, but Iodine brought stuff out of me that nothing else did.
