I am answering you because you seen to be a guy that likes to learn and research. Yeasts can not be seen except with a microscope. This is why they are called microorganisms. Yeast cells are about 3x5 micrometer, oval shaped. Hyphae, germ tubes, mycelium, or biofilms are microscopic.
During an active yeast infection, yeast releases fermentation products and enzymes that kill tissue cells. Dead mucosal ephitelial tissue forms white patches, lesions called false, or seudomembranes. White patches AREN'T visible colony-forming units of Candida on the mucosal tissues. White patches are clumps of dead ephitelial cells. Medically, it is called acute pseudomembranous.
What people see in stool during an active intestinal yeast infection is dead intestinal ephitelial tissue. During my years in this forum and others, there have been people who have taken stool samples with these white clumps to specialized labs. The result has showed dead ephitelial cells and correspond with the medical finding.
Candida CAN NOT be seen with a naked eye.!
Jorge.
