Most of the Iodine evaporates from the skin, barely any gets absorbed (less than 5%). Even 1% is enough to notice some subtle differences though. The skin test, in my opinion, is not something that you should place much faith in determining Iodine status. What inspired you to pursue Iodine in the first place?
