No, your lips won't get thinner. Your lips will only peel, then new skin will replace the dead skin that peels. Make sure to find out the cause of your peeling. if its damage that you caused your lips, then leaving them alone will heal them, but if your lips started peeling because of a prescription drug/cream/etc, then you would have to stop using that product and also leave them alone.
