It's not the same picture but it does show these types of photos showing up during that time period. The one in my possession is more realistic looking, not an outline. If my memory serves me correctly, it showed the tops of trees and jesus in the clouds, much like he was just getting ready to touch the earth. The clouds did create a slight blurring of the jesus figure.
It may not be anything but a novelty that I found within my uncle's things. There is really no way to even prove it has anything to do with freemasonry, unless someone else has the same picture with more info. It just struck me as odd for him to have an actual photo of something like this after having started reading his copy of the book, Morals and Dogma.
I kind of dread pulling out my uncle's things once again, for I did not keep the picture separate from his other personal items. He was my uncle by marriage, but since he and my aunt didn't have any children, I felt like I needed to hang on to his family history.
I had cared for my aunt for a couple of years before she passed and she and I talked some about his involvement as a mason. She knew very little about it, other than she too became aware that things may not be on the up and up with the organization.
Apparently masons do keep their oaths. They can be around you for years and you never know they were even members, yet it's not a hidden thing...they just don't talk about it very much. I just found out fairly recently, that a beloved pastor that I have known for years was a low level mason. Found out at his funeral.
I have memory of going with a close friend to a Rainbows meeting. I was too young to understand what I was watching as far as rituals go, but now that I'm an adult, it has a different meaning to me. Didn't know her Dad was a mason or her mother an Eastern Star. I don't think these people saw anything wrong with the organization. They saw it as a place to get involved in helping their community and mankind.
No telling how many Masons are on curezone...perhaps their wives are reading. I hope they will at least check into what this is all about and start understanding what the bible says and what freemasonry says, like my uncle did.
Thanks again.
