were you able to find someone to help you? You may also have Trigeminal Neurolgia. I thought I had a cavitation problem on an upper molar that caused my jaw to ache terribly! I couldn't actually pinpoint a tooth though and that was the clue. I saw an oral-maxiofacial surgeon and he diagnosed TN. Neurotin and Baclofen were my cures!
