Hi MCW,
It's possible to raise your sodium levels without glandulars. When I first started NB, my NA level 4, and K was 1. I was advised to take ThyroComplex, but it gave me anxiety so I didn't take it. So I was advised to take something gentler, and was given EndoDren, but again, it was over-stimulatory, so I didn't take it either. Of the supplements I was supposed to take that did agree with me, I only took quarters or thirds, so I wasn't taking much. After the first retest, my Na level went from 4 to 10, and K went from 1 to 5. Also, my Ca/K (thyroid)ratio went from 33 to 6, with the ideal being 4. And my Na/Mg (adrenal) ratio went from .5 to 2, with the ideal being 4.17. So something I was doing must have been helping, and it wasn't a glandular! ;)
When I started NB, I definitely increased my salt intake, but my practioner said that raising my sodium intake wouldn't necessarily push up my levels on my test. However, the tons of salt I added to my water made me feel less dizzy and more grounded, so anything that makes me feel calmer would indirectly lower my stress levels and help my mineral levels balance just that tiny bit more.
It seems indirect and probably simplistic to even bring this up, but a good way to bring any one mineral level into balance is to do whatever gets us into the parasympathetic state. For me personally, I started using a BioTuner at the same time I started NB, and that really kickstarted me into a calming state for the first time in a long time. Also, I did some energy work in clearing toxic emotions/trauma that really helped me immensely.
I'd love to hear how anyone else raised their sodium levels without using a glandular, especially if they were doing something specific other than targeting ways to ease into parasympathetic state.
