Agree Feo...the medical industry already knows about stress causing various whole body changes, immune suppression, entire endocrine system changes...how it all works and slowly brings down full function...and even complete shut-down of the body resulting in death when chronic.
It's all a semantic dance, when an MD puts his fingers in his ears and sings 'lalalaaalaa' as you talk about adrenal problems coupled with other endocrine problems and other symptoms - they KNOW what is being referred to. Who gives a damn about the term used commonly. They need to start taking stress seriously. I'm not talking just about emotional stress. I'm talking about the whole plethora of factors that stress the body. Even partying every day and night is a stress and will result in ill health. Not all stress is negative emotionally!...but it is physically.
When someone approaches a doctor with stress - whatever that stress is, it needs to be looked into how much damage has been done to the system and appropriately treated, aswell as source of stress explored and treated. Source of course, being paramount.
Instead they've got their psych med scr1pt half-written out before you've even finished talking.
