I had this post some years ago, early in my Iodine journey, I couldnt understand why the moderators didnt rate it higher;

I do now.
I did the Ph thing for a year or so, the best thing it contributed to, was to get me into iodine.
The blood keep a more or less constant ph, as if not, we are off to eternal dream land, almost immediately. It takes it, the alkaline minerals from bones as a last resort.
The minerals need to be utilized from food; how to do it is to have a working stomach acid, HCL as low as ph 1-2 is good.
If up to 3-4 we have a big problem, as the food ferment instead of beeing digested, and magnesium and others cant be absorbed from food.
When we try to adjust PH with, for instance sodium bicarbonate, the HCL doesnt work well enough to utilize the minerals from food, but on a PH strip it seems ok.
When minerals and co working vitamins are absorbed and utilized + a good body temperature (for the enzymes to work)
- we dont have to think much about the PH, as it will adjust itself, IMO.
