It is worms. Roundworms break apart and you may get the bloated partially digested skin out, or once the have been killed, their body can open up and what many see are probably the worm's intestines which are long and skinny, look up Ascaris dissection, you will see what I mean.

You can't go by the test, they are rarely accurate...
