I really am starting to believe it as well. I know that you know how it is with experimentation though, and that we are all different. I know I have detox pathway problematics, but the salt loading really seems to work for me, and I get that I need to use higher doses, because basically my throat feels bad after just 20 minutes of taking a kelp tablet. Strangely enough, I wasnt experiencing the tight throat before i started to really take more Iodine in kelp a few months back. Since, Ive had a major "starting" detox reaction with fever and diarhea for one week, as earlier mentioned.
But the smell is undeniably true, and the detox reactions come with just a little Iodine supplementation.

I don't know how to explain it so that is seems logical with the lighter halogens pushing out the heavier ones, i understand this concept, but perhaps even in small quantities, it still pushes out some of the other halogens.

Anyways, I have also learned more and more to trust my own body. Doses are so individual, with everything. All my other supplements I take as I feel, and I must admit i feel good on higher doses of iodine, even if its just 1 drop of 20 mg iodine from SSKI .
I know about balance, and however energy bringing iodine might be, you need to bring the rest of the body with you on the detox, nutrition, supplements, rest, etc. I tend to rest too little, and shit builds up, and then I get f***ed, if you can pardon my french. But yes, I hope when I get a bit more balanced, I can do higher doses of iodine.
