I've had the same thing, but don't know or think it is not related to NB. I've had heel spur ( mostly people with high arches) off and on the past 10 years. May also be do to bone loss, all realted to the adrenals and imbalances I suppose.
Right now I'm weaing Strutz arch support but have to add extra cotton pads inserted as I too now have the severe heel pain when walking without it, especailly first thing in the morning.
