This brings up an interesting point about what type of diet one should pursue when they are having a difficult time treating a parasite infection. I learned that the flukes utilized glutathione as part of the way they link and eliminate xenobiotics. When I learned this was the case and the flukes used this mechanism to process the triclabendazole I automatically thought it would be better for me to simply stop supplying supplements to help maintain my glutathione levels. This was an area at which point I was having difficulty in before. Also, the night the flukes came back to life I took 2-3 capsules of sunflower lecithin. Which I believe provided them choline which apparently they were in need of.
I figured I would take the recommended protocols here and simply purge myself of minerals in hopes that the flukes would be weakened and the drugs would have the desired effect. What I felt I could accomplish in 2-3 weeks turned into 7-8 months. Leaving my body simply in bad shape. The idea of strengthening the body and finding a good diet and supplements should be addressed. I think MSM likely would increase glutathione s transferase like coffee enema's do by providing so much sulfur. But, I do know one thing. The idea of starving the flukes out certainly didn't do my body any favors. Atleast taking supplements that would at the very minimum maintain one's health seems like it would be better than purging yourself of nutrients in hopes that the parasites will become weak enough and the medicine will be strong enough to kill them off.
I have taken a lot of medication in the last months, maybe because my body was in such bad shape it made them less effective. I certainly believe it with the praziquantel after doing the edta I.V.'s which removed calcium. Also, when I see my Chinese medicine doctor. She says my immune system is very weak and I need to build it up.
