A doctor I saw yesterday told me not to air dry my lips, since once the water evaporates it will also take the moist from the lips, making them even more dry. Instead I use a small piece of paper towel or Q-tip to gently pat-dry my lips. Not to say it's working or not working since my lips still peel on a 4-5 day cycle..
