Did your derm give any numbers on the point of no return, like a few years?

I really hope I haven't passed this window of healing completely..just yet. I got a sunburn on my lips last week. It was the on the outer top lip and it scabbed and peeled after several days. But..the peeling never returned and that area of my lip didn't turn to EC lips.
