I followed a rigid eating plan. I made sure I got in a wonderful variety of foods before I'd cave into anything of the dessert or coffee nature.
Drank plenty of water.
Had spring-fed well water for first 8 months of pregnancy, (so no chlorine and fluoride) but then moved into city of Toledo with tap water. (This was way back in 1996).
I didn't know about Iodine or bromine or fluoride back then, but I think the pre-natal vitamins were allegedly supposed to have 3mg in their once-a-day pills.
So, I was ahead of most people in the above respect. I was bound and determined to be a 'good mom' because of years of infertility. (I was 39 when I gave birth).
However, I was in labor for 12 hours, and even then they had to 'suction' her out. Also, I didn't stretch open properly, so the doctor cut me (episiotomy)...NEVER have that done. Most uniodinated women's doctors perform that, too. The doctor spent an entire 1/2 hour stitching me up. Note that that's three times the time period it took for your wife to give birth! I tore clear to my rectum, and have had bm problems ever since. Twenty percent of the body's need for Iodine lies in our skin alone!
Iodine, Sir, is a Godsend.
You will enjoy your child in so many ways. Many people will just think you got "lucky", but I'm telling you, the Iodine has saved you three from a myriad of horrors! And with your precious one receiving iodine through her mommy's milk, man, she will go far!
God bless you all.
OMG, it's 3 in the morning.
G'night!
