To get the effect of the citric acid you need to use a lot of them and at that point you are getting to lot of bioflavonoids, this slows down the ion reaction of the Ascorbic Acid..

Remember those old posts, Ascorbic Acid chelated Lead but only if used without bioflavonoids..
