Seems like when candida dominated my colon and took over the bacteria I lost my peristalsis in the very last part of the colon. With my case i'm a believer that the acids that are produced by bacteria in the colon have a major impact on helping to slowly "push" the poop out of the colon.
I guess that's why so many nutritionists recommend fiber to get the bowels moving. The metabolites(certain acids) that the bacteria produce from the fiber/residual stach probably has an impact on peristalsis.
