"There are lots of special places and special jobs, but for me being a Las Vegas dice dealer was pretty sublime. It was somehow timeless. Timeless and imbued with the corrosive and bland patina of a mundane evil, a venality, a soulless mockery of human aspirations. What could be more useless than playing with money?"
This is the comment made by Jesse Kaellis on Why is Addiction Still Considered a Personal Weakness? article on LinkedIn. I can re-read these words time and time again, trying to etch them into my mind. Every single word is full of meaning, life experience, and maturity.

And more Jesse's comments:
"Don't listen to that liar Moritz. He's telling lies about addiction. Use your common sense. If addiction is a disease it is unlike any other disease under the sun. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you don't have a choice."

"Haha. Last comment deleted. Why don't you ask people that got off narcotics and alcohol, cigarettes and pot; ask them how they did it? Because people do, and without a lot of expensive rehab and it just isn't that complicated. When you're ready, you can do it. I don't think I could have gotten nine years without my bipolar meds. But the thing is that I was taking the medication for over seven years before I got sober. Yes, you are right, this article says a whole lot about nothing."

Jesse was able to stop taking drugs and alcohol after 35 years!
He kept notes of his life events, taught himself writing skills, and finally wrote his book about his life, in both kaleidoscopic and chronological order.

Jesse is an inspiration! We all have addictive behaviors. The difference is in what we use or do.

Bottom line - You Can Do It, If YOU WANT TO!

Love, always,
