Regarding yeast infections. I believe coconut oil works well for that because it's anti-parasitic, anti-pathogenic, anti-viral, etc.
I've been yeast-infection for a number of years since taking daily use of probiotic (good bacteria for the gut and vaginal area) capsules to treat my acne. (Helps to reduce break-outs in combination with the herb Vitex to manage my hormonal acne.) Any health food store carries them. I look for enteric coated (so that it survives the stomach) a guarantee listed on the bottle for a high # of good bacteria count at "Time of consumption" (since they can die off) after manufacture, and a variety of good bacteria strains. The 2 brands I've been using are: Natural Factors (4 caps daily), and Ultimate Probiotics (2 caps daily). Probiotics are considered very safe.
Regarding coconut oil, I looked up the FC2 Female condom which is non-latex (made of Nitrile) so it should be safe to use with that. (My male partner loves how natural they feel over male condoms.)
