rocks strike in layers, the ones large enough to take out a state are the bad ones.

you see the size of the pyramids and they need 2 feet of limestone added as a cushion to take the impact that is reflected by design, few things on earth can take such blows and survive, it is easy to she how cities can be turned into dust in a day.
