I dont understand how you can say life is 'not school' when we learn so much everyday we are here. Some choices bring happiness and joy into our lives, some choices bring suffering and disjointedness. We must learn from these choices. Anything that seperates us from the source ultimately cause suffering (ie not eating the right foods) we 'learn' not to eat these foods, because although they taste great, they slowly cause great amounts of initially unforeseen damage to our bodies and spirits, but through this process we 'learn' to eat right, and gain wisdom and a closer connection to 'the source' in the process. I have read somewhere that we were all perfect loving beings at one point but the only way for a soul to gain true wisdom is through the knowledge of good and evil. I believe life or 'this place' has to be a school of sorts, or a way of preparing our spirits for some greater purpose. Some achieve this graduation, some must come back until the lessons are learned. If we are all just recycled in the end to suffer endlessly at the amusement of some outside force, in a 'play'? That I have a hard time grasping. The choices we make here have very real consequences and effects, clearly there are choices that bring desirable effects and choices that do not. Whether or not you want to believe in these choices effecting our after life it is plain as day they effect us a great deal while we are here. Why would this change in the afterlife? All of a sudden the child rapist and mass murderers are just looked at as one giant ball of love because they died? Im not saying I have hate for these individuals or that they deserve and endless torment in the fires of hell or anything, but I believe that perhaps they must evolve into higher spiritual beings before they can exit 'this place'.
