Hi Amber,

When i was looking into DHEA learning that it is made from cholesterol...same as Preg. - i started to increase my butter intake!
Not sure it's helped much as i still feel my estrogen and progesterone are low, while testosterone is possibly high - a bit similar to you.

But it did make me think how the mainstream craze for having low cholesterol and reducing cholesterol foods has possibly had an impact on the hormone production of many 'healthy-minded' folk.

I now unashamedly consume butter :-)

Also i read DHEA for women pre-menopause isn't a good idea. I don't know why...it's just stated often on the supplement when buying the stuff.
I've been tempted to try DHEA and progresterone but haven't yet.

I would give it a few weeks of not having the benzo's in your system and get a re-test...that way you can gauge better how the SSRI has scewed results and how to more accurately supplement.

As Hawksfan said - the aldosterone angle is worth looking into...i did the pupil test and my pupils don't contract for long at all. People often comment on my big black pupils.
I'm yet to wrap my head around the full mechanistic elements of aldosterone, but i seem to be depleted yet have sodium retention with low blood pressure. I'm eating loads of salt, which has helped prevent constant dizziness.

As you mentioned before problems with low BP perhaps aldosterone is something to consider?
