"All I'm asking here is.....why don't we all believe the same, if we all have the same Spirit? Actually I have a thought about it all, but I will save that for another time."

My dad and I discuss a lot about why there is so much deception in the church, and why are the majority of professing Christians Arminian in their doctrine, or worse, Semi-Pelagianists, or full-on Pelagianists?

The only comforting answer is that God is sovereign, He is in control, and He will not lose one of those he set out to save from the foundation of the world. His perfect plan will be fulfilled and He is not surprised or defeated by any of the confusion, corruption, or catastrophes that is at work on this day or any other day.

I am just very thankful not to believe like an Arminian. I would be the one then wringing my hands in despair at what I see going on in this world, and in the church, in my own family, and I wouldn't have any peace or rest.

God's absolute sovereignty is what gives me peace in the midst of what I could never explain on a human level.

In other words, I don't know the answer to your question. lol But God does and I have peace in that!

I was just looking something else up, and came across this scripture. I'm not even sure what it means, I really need a thorough study of Revelations, but this scripture seems to go well with what I'm saying about God's sovereignty and his plan being fulfilled:

Revelation 17:17
for God has put it into their hearts to carry out his purpose by being of one mind and handing over their royal power to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled.
