I put those scriptures up to show that God's will rules above all, it rules above our will, which is the problem with all people that believe Arminian doctrine, which is the majority of mainstream Christianity. Arminian doctrine teaches that man's will overrules God's will.

That is your preconceived notion that you need to desperately let go of. Your will is not above God's, my will is not above God's, and until you understand that, you will be in great error.

And by the way, I get that scripture beautifully in a personal way. I will just give you one example of countless ones. When my husband and I got married, we were poor as dirt. My parents didn't want us getting married in that condition. But we had faith that God would take care of us, somehow, someway, and he did just that. It was his will to take care of us and we had faith he would, and that's a winning combination.

Faith is something that God has not willed, is not a winning combination.
