NO NO NO
You are not going insane with what you have described on a very real level the problem is you are actually going sane.
Life in the bigger picture at this time is not a happy event and each of us on a soul level knows this, the problem here is that we would rather not know this. Smoking pot did not create your unhappiness but did help to reveal how you really feel (in difference to how you would rather feel) so as you may make the changes in either your life or your attitude.
Be real to yourself with these newly revealed feelings and work with them.
PS if you have past traumas of any kind that you are hoping that will just go away, seek help or assistance to begin processeng them because they will not go away but will surface over and over again in life until they are accessed.
