A maintenance dose is two or three glasses a day. I only have one per day.

Michael Mosley did a documentary on eating for 5 days and having no more than 600 cal a day for two days in each week. He found that the body begins a healing process when it is subjected to very low calories in a day.

It was called Eat, Fast and live longer, but is only available now in short version.
