The post carbon filter is what(if you have one)is what filters out a whole lot of these VOC's and other things. Having a sediment filter(a whole house one at the head end of your incoming water line)and a sediment filter and then a 1-micron or better pressed carbon block filter before the R/O membrane and the another pressed carbon block after is the best setup. I used this setup for my kids growing up and ran it off to the refrigator ice-maker and a faucet on the sink for drinking and cooking. This setup worked for years and every 6 months I would take apart the system to clean it out. You ought to see what comes out! Cleaning the system keeps it clean and free of the junk you are getting rid of.
