A good pancreatic enzyme will contain proteases, lipase and amylase - covering most all digestive issues. Upper GI is best addressed with lemon juice ( citric acid ). The only reason I would give betaine HCL in this case would be due to hypochlorhydria or an insufficient conversion of the pancreatic pro-enzymes to their active forms.
