If I were you, I would look into Morgellons disease. Itching, biting, stinging and crawling sensations are some of the symptoms. Artifacts such as black specks and sand colored granules are pushed out through the skin, as well as fibrous material, sometimes black, blue, red and there can be rashes and lesions as well, although not everyone has them.

Get yourself a handheld microscope for $12 from RadioShack or online and take a look at your skin under the scope to see if you have fibers. The filaments are the defining symptom of Morgellons.
