No offense taken! Iodine supplementation has done wonders for a great many, ... I am a full believer of this. Iodine has been very helpful for me as well, in unexpected ways. However the point I was trying (and failed?) to make is this: as wonderful as Iodine is we should not oversell it. There are people suffering with horrific ailments that have zero to do with iodine deficiency. They are apt to leap at anything that might provide relief, especially for those where conventional meds have failed them. Although iodine supplementation is a good thing for most everyone it would be horrible if folks looked to it as a savior based on (mis)reading what is written on this forum. Yes, surely iodine *may* help people in ways we don't know. But it's better to focus matching iodine with conditions we are fairly certain iodine can help and for other conditions we can say "..dunno but your body needs iodine anyway give it a try".
Trust me, in recent years I have become familiar with chronic ailments and I'm shocked at the measures people will go to find relief. Some people actually try putting bleach on Psoriasis lesions to try to heal them (psoriasis, especially on the feet, is truly horrible). Therefore I strive to be very measured in what I suggest, always throw in words like "in my opinion", and just hope what I say is not taken out of context ... and just maybe I help someone.
