My levels are: Sodium 6.0, Potassium 4.0, ratio 8.25 (ideal 4.00) that's 206% of ideal. Not sure if my levels are severe or not, compared to others. But either way, they are low. But according to serum tests they have always been low side of normal.
Symptoms:
I mainly get heart palpitations after eating or for no reason at all at times. I used to get them much more frequent and stronger a year ago, but then it was also due to an overactive thyroid function.
I also have low blood pressure, but only evident when i do the sitting and standing up and sitting down again test (Ragland's blood pressure test) - shows weak adrenal function. I also have bouts of dry skin, black heads, dry lips, diarrhea, constant urination (kidney dysfunction) numbness in the fingers, and at times the whole arm/s and cramping in my ankles and knees and overall muscle weakness and oh yes let's not forget bouts of feeling nausea and insulin resistance which comes some days and goes away other days. I will also get suddenly dizzy and followed by a sense of disorientation and then severe fatigue. Unfortunately, some of these symptoms can also be attributed to thyroid function and hormones in general so it's very hard to decipher what's causing what. But the potassium issue is something that interests me.
