I have discovered that my aerator stirs up so much sludge, new solids & scum into septic soup that my effluent filter got clogged up with sludge and then a thick, black mud leaves my single chamber septic tank and clogged up my septic field within just 6 months. I believe my problem is limited to single chamber septic tanks.
If you have had success, how did you prevent sludge from being stirred up? How long has your aerator been running? How many chambers are in your tank? Which chamber did you add the aerator to-Input or Output? What brand is your aerator? What did your aerator dealer say? Did you get your "money back guarantee if not satisfied?"
