Have you or your mum heard of Vitamin C infusions? These have been a godsend to anyone on chemotherapy. I have heard these will get the body regenerating in no time.

She must get rid of her excess estrogen, DIM along with Iodine (and the complimentary nutrients and protocols, Sea Salt push, selenium and magensium) are the best things to take.

Tell her not to be scared at all, as Iodine can save her life, literally.. I grew a large goitre (with painful thyroiditis) all taken care of with Iodine supplementation after the misfortune of having half of my thyroid removed.
