I'm not saying someone with a digestion issue should immediately double or triple the amount of calories they are getting if they can't handle it. Of course those people will have to slowly increase the amount of calories they are getting, but in the end ever person needs a certain amount of calories to lead a healthy active life. If a person wants to get sick, stay sick, or otherwise lead a boring sedentary life, then keep your calories under the being active and healthy level.

Calories = energy
