I read an article many years ago about the dangers of bodybuilding. The gist of it was that if you have too much muscle tissue, the body will shunt most of the blood away from the internal organs to supply the muscles. Over time this can lead to just about any type of illness.

I would look into hyperbaric or ozone therapy for your husband.
