What fastingann has posted is great! I've been trying to diagnose what worm I have and none have really fit the decription until ropeworm! The thing that clued me in was the branching nature of the worm.

I have working with an ayurvedic practitioner (the 5,000 yo indian healthcare system). For me, we've been doing Oil Enema s. I intake 100 ml warm sesame oil rectally. Every time I do this, the next morning I expel stools almost completely composed of whites worms! Today, I really got in there, as it is the most I've ever seen and pulled them apart (hardly any feces, ick!) They indeed branch! Some of them are X shaped.

So, it seems that oil must suffocate them. I'm going to keep looking for ways to rid them. Although ayurveda restores the balance to the body over time (a 1 year process for me) and we all know that worms can't get out of control in a balanced body!

P.s. I've learned that for some body types, water type colonics and enemas actually dehydrate your colon.... so, if you're already constipated, this could be worsening the condition (as is my case). Try sesame oil or olive Oil Enema s (basti) It's really been helping me heal :) CHeers!
