If you're underproducing corticosteroids (glucocorticoids), eating a meal that spikes your blood Sugar high is going to be a problem. Because then your body throws out a lot of insulin and your blood Sugar eventually dives. When your blood Sugar goes low because of this process, your body needs to produce blood sugar through a process that uses glucocorticoids. But if you can't make cortisol very well, your blood sugar will continue dipping and you'll be fatigued and powerfully drowsy.

Try low glycemic foods. Maybe licorice.

Man, I keep finding myself suggesting licorice to people. I'm starting to feel like I'm a fanatic. It seems to work very well for me. I can't say I know what everyone's situation is, so I'm not going to say it's the answer, but I think it could help a lot of folks. Just about everyone here should give it a chance.
