I tried doing a retention enema with Sea Salt and water. I only got a couple cups in, and did it with my legs up to my chest. But it made my hemorrhoids worse; its been like a week and they are finally getting better. I used plenty of KY and did not force the hold, let it come out on its own. I really want to move up to coffee enemas but scared since it is absorbed through hemoroidal viens.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Can I get any tips so this won't happen again?
Maybe lay on my side with one leg up?
