Yes, interesting. also there seem to be a connection between bipolar / lithium / thyroid.
Bi polar is an epidemic over here. Connected to low Iodine is my guess.
"Patients taking lithium are also at risk of developing chronic autoimmune thyroiditis -- an autoimmune inflammation of the thyroid gland. For patients who are just starting lithium therapy, the presence of antithyroid antibodies -- even without active thyroid dysfunction -- puts them at higher risk of developing an overt thyroid condition while being treated with lithium. There also appears to be some evidence that lithium itself can cause elevated antibodies and the onset of autoimmune thyroid disease in some patients."

-this of course happen when one take to much of it. But make me wonder if a small amount may benefit thyroid issues in general. I mean; it increases the grey matter, it does balance the brain. And we have always the problem of autoimmune thyroid.
I go veery slow with lithium, this is a level of supplementation I would not recommend on a big scale. But may be one of the keys.
