Hi all,

After some issues with constipation and impactions at the start of the year, I have been dependant on enemas every second day for the past 4 months. I need to take an enema to have a BM. The longest I have tried to go without is 3 days, after that it gets so uncomfortable that I have to do an enema to relieve the pain. I have IBS-C so the pain can be terrible when I am unable to go. I have had a really stressful few months so it has had a very negative effect on my digestive system, before that I went about 3 times a week naturally.

First I need some advice on bowel retraining, what methods worked for people, any supplements that worked, and what foods help. I cant eat a lot of fibre as it hurts my very sensitive bowel so I guess I will need a fibre supplement. I drink 2 litres of water a day, couple of coffees too. I would appreciate any advice anyone has to share to try kick this enema dependency. The thought of having to do them for the rest of my life because I have to rather than want to is a really depressing thought. Hope someone can help :-)
