Well yes because there are none and the vague descriptions of anything that is remotely scientific were already known before the time of Muhammad. So I guess what I'm saying is that they could not have come from divine intervention if they were already known. The Quran did not bring anything new in this regard. Now the bible is just another example of religious myths and scientific / historical inconsistencies . I would never use it as a point of reference neither do I give it any credibility. I am not a Christian or a member of any faith. My concern is purely from a scientific perspective. I have many Muslim friends who studied Science as I did , and they have come to realise that information in the Quran about mountains, embryology , moon splitting etc are just incorrect . This obviously presents a confliction that challenges what they have been taught. Especially in relation to evolution. They have told me that they just have to keep Science and their religion separate. Surely this cannot be possible ? If you know man did not descend from Adam n eve based on the evidence then why do you not question the Qurans depiction of it which you know to be wrong? Is this not allowed ? Can these errors not be updated ? If not why not ?
