I had my Mirena removed nearly 18 months ago and have had Candida (yeast) issues ever since. When I had blood tests done my Vitamin D came back very low and I was advised to start supplementing. I did for a few days and initially felt better - my mood in particular. But then all my symptoms started to get worse so I stopped supplementing. It turns out Candida steals all your vitamin d in order to build it's cell walls. Also can cause many of the issues post-Mirena sufferers seem to have.
