I love this idea but Wow, we just tried to make this and got the biggest shock of my life. What did we do wrong? The only alterations we made to your pattern was that the plates were 9 inches long instead of 6 and we put the legs through the cuttingboard so we could bend them on the other side. We bought the schumacher speed/charge maintainer (1.5 amps, automatic 6/12 v) and when we hooked it up we got a massive shock. What did we do wrong? does it make a difference how long the plates are and does it matter that the charger was automatic. I am at a loss but i sure don't want to do that again.
