Thanks for the article. Actually this is the first time I've seen anyone claim that having a small amount of bacteria in the small intestine is normal. Every other source I've read including the official Cedars - Sinai protocol (who have been the biggest body of research and treatment on IBS and SIBO) say the small intestine is supposed to be a "clean room" with zero bacteria. And there are a number of bodily mechanism in place to make that happen.

In fact they don't recommend probiotics per se since ANY bacteria is bad bacteria in the SI. And it might be the body's actual physical cleansing method that prevent CS from getting or staying in there..
