I was referring to the oldies in the forum history who have already tried barrier ointments, not myself. It does not matter if you think scientists do not know what they are talking about. They conduct studies to prove things. In case you forgot, milk has lactic acid in it. Doctors have successfully treated a patient's EC with lactic acid. Lactic acid can kill the protective film of staph bacteria so anti-bacteria treatment is more effective. And if one keeps pH level of lip skin as acidic as tomatoes, then it will prevent bacteria on lips. It is pretty sad you are unable to grasp that.
