To quote one of my favourite authors on fasting
"It is safer not to fast, than to do it wrong."
I hope no one takes this amiss -- I don't scare easily (anymore) and found the way he writes enjoyable, refreshing, even humorous.

I strongly recommend reading from several sources, (not forums only), before undertaking a water fast. The Soil and Health Library is a good resource. One of Chris's favourite fasting masters, as I call them, is Shelton. I was also inspired by Bass's early experiments.
Here is one of the chapters within:
Twenty Rules For Sane Fasting

Purinton is a bit of a poet. hope you enjoy!
:-)
PS- and for the soul who's still reading this post, here are the last words in Purinton's epilogue:
"I believe that the Millennium comes to each soul individually, marking the close of this earth-school of experience and the Commencement Day in a larger sphere.
I believe that these beliefs and whatever truer may ensue will forever pale into nothingness beside the one thing
I KNOW--
That Love Alone Suffices."
The Water Fast CAN be a very good experience, wouldn't you say?
