i had a great night in my car several weeks ago with my girlfriend. :D
...unfortunately it involved drinking some wine in the back seat and spilling some on the carpeting of my car. (you know heat of the moment type..thing. lol) at first i didnt think much of it.. just wiped it up later and assumed all would be fine. its not. now my car smells of mildew for several weeks after this spill. ive read up on it and tried scrubbing down with baking soda and vacuuming. i currently applied some basic vinegar to the (assumed) effected area and i also left the vinegar bottle in the car with its top off. (maybe it will soak up / kill some of the mold? i dont know! lol shots in the dark)
is there any secret solution? a magic mold removal trick? i know mold can be a very hazardous concern.. (especially to anyone who posts on these forums, obviously) i dont know what to do. if i had the money i would pay to get it steam cleaned or whatever by a professional. meh. so are there any tricks out there to fix lingering car mildew/mold? another side note... my car is all black with black leaether interior (dark grey carpet). i cannot BELIEVE that with it sitting in the direct sunlight most every day mold could even survive? will it eventually just die by itself? this situation really sucks. thanhks for any ideas.
