We do not underrate the value of earnest sincere prayer, - it is fine. However, one may meet with such difficulties and obstacles that ordinary prayer may not be sufficient to bring the desired victory. Therefore one should take advantage of the most effective weapon possible, for according to Christ's own words, "This kind can come forth by nothing but prayer and fasting." Mark 9:29

We are then able to believe in our heart what God has said in His word He will do. Mental faith becomes heartfelt faith.
